The Ophthalmic Technician I will perform a range of duties which include preparing the patient to see Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist and conduct preliminary exam and captures medical history. In addition, the preparation of examination and treatment rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures may be required. An Optical Administrative Assistant will ensure all patients are welcomed and greeted promptly. Additional responsibilities will include managing patient flow in the optical area, handling phone inquiries, organizing patient records, managing daily correspondence, and clerical supply inventory while offering administrative assistance. THE PRACTICE:
Katzen Eye Group founded in 1968 is a twenty-six (26) doctor group (MD, DO and OD) with a need for a full-time glaucoma specialist who is seeking a high volume of clinical and surgical cases. The practice includes sub-specialties in Glaucoma, Retina, Cornea, Refractive Surgery, Oculoplastics, Pediatrics, Uveitis, and Cataract, along with a very strong primary eye care base, exceptionally talented medical optometrists, and a very large referral network.
You’ll be joining another established exceptional glaucoma specialist ophthalmologist and highly skilled optometrist working collaboratively as a glaucoma service team.
Our practice is a nationally recognized leader in EMR and technology with outstanding clinical support, diagnostic equipment, four room ophthalmic ASC and professional management team. We offer an outstanding compensation plan commensurate with experience and skills.
