An Optical Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing a friendly and efficient patient experience when patients visit the practice. This position is also responsible for balancing patient flow on the optical floor, answering telephones, maintaining patient files, distributing daily correspondence, and ordering inventory of clerical supplies.

The Optician will dispense and fit spectacles, contact lenses and other optical aides, working from printed or computerized prescriptions with assistance. They will advise patients on various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including advice on style, weight, and color. Instructs patients on how to wear and care for their spectacles and contacts.
This position is responsible for assisting with the implementation of quality perioperative nursing care, cooperates as a team member with other members of the perioperative system as well as those within the medical and administrative systems. You will participate as a member of the perioperative nursing staff in planning, policy formation, and decision making as it relates to the Operating Room.
The Referral Coordinator/Patient Service Representative provides total medical office support which incudes obtaining and tracking all required referrals and authorizations from PCPs and insurance carriers. This person also answers incoming patient calls, obtains patient insurance and demographic information, collects copays and balances, and schedules appointments.
Previous scrub technician experience of one (1) or more years in hospital or surgery center setting with the ability to scrub for ophthalmologic procedures preferred. BCLS certification required.
