The Physician Recruitment Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of the recruitment sourcing efforts to develop a robust pipeline of diverse talent for specialized critical/difficult to fill positions and identified positions with a workforce shortage. The Sourcing Specialist will partner with the Directors of Provider Talent Acquisition (e.g., physician recruiters) in defining critical hiring needs to attract a broad set of qualified candidates for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • The Sourcing Specialist proactively identifies candidates through direct and indirect sourcing techniques, including complex internet searches (Boolean searches), cold calling and email ad construction and distribution from purchased marketing lists, social/professional networking, career events, resources and competitor research to build a strong network of passive and active candidates. The Sourcing Specialist will be innovative and constantly creating new strategies to engage with and deliver top physician talent to each role through a variety of tools, techniques, and methods.

 

  • In partnership with the Directors of Provider Talent Acquisition and the Physician Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator, the Sourcing Specialist may attend hiring manager meetings remotely via MS Teams, department meetings, recruitment scoping calls, and potential educational sessions with the hiring department to educate staff on sourcing techniques. The Sourcing Specialist may also act as a recruiter and sourcing procurement specialist for difficult to recruit practices and medical sub-specialties.

 

  • The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing a research strategy to support sourcing needs, including the development of a best practice sourcing toolkit for recruiters that aligns with the recruitment escalation process. The incumbent engages in initial networking calls and builds a robust network of top talent, gains market intelligence, and assesses candidates to gauge their fit with ESP affiliate practices. Serves as primary contact for the candidate, conducts appropriate introductions to the recruiter and smoothly transitions candidate to recruiter for in-person interviews.  Verify candidates initial background info online for state licensure, board certification, OIG exclusion, etc.
  • The Sourcing Specialist works independently with a minimum of supervision; and therefore, must be self-motivated, creative, and take initiative in developing appropriate recruitment sourcing strategies.   
  • The incumbent is expected to meet and exceed established goals. The Sourcing Specialist is expected to understand and use quality principles and tools in managing his/her own work systems and processes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage recruitment sourcing
  • Experience with and knowledge of sourcing effectiveness, screening, interviewing, selection and candidate assessment techniques.
  • Intermediate or advanced level experience with using electronic media, social networking, internet research, candidate mining, and professional organizations to source candidates and build talent pipelines.
  • Demonstrated successful experience directly soliciting passive
  • Demonstrated success working independently, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships, and managing multiple tasks that meet or exceed deadlines with minimal direction.
  • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand customers and anticipate their needs and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Technically savvy, with the ability to quickly pick up and understand new tools and
  • Ability to identify and assess challenges using critical thinking, data collection methods, analysis, experience and judgement to identify and implement solutions in timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Communications/Marketing or relevant field.
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, four additional years of experience will be accepted.
  • Healthcare field experience or physician recruitment background required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong technical skills and drive to learn new skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional recruitment industry-specific certification preferred, not required.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

  • Physical demands: medium- exerts up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently to move objects

  • May infrequently require travel to home office for annual meeting or similar.

 

Compensation

  • Full Time salaried exempt position with very competitive offered pay of $70,000.00 with defined incentive metrics of $20K to reach total comp of $90K.
  • Great industry subject matter expert mentoring available for less experienced candidate with strong drive and transferrable skills with pay in the $60K-$80K range.
