We are looking for a Sr. Provider Enrollment Specialist!  Remote work available!  Apply today!!

 

The Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the timely submission of provider enrollment applications to governmental and commercial payors and for performing the tracking and follow-up required until providers are established and linked to the ESP entity.  Enrollment activities include both providers as well as ASC’s. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Credentialing and Payor Relations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain provider enrollment files in Credentialstream software, shared files and  CAQH
  • Initiate enrollment and prepare required applications with various health plans and government payors for new and established providers as directed and independently at times.
  • Handle any re-credentialing and directory update requests from government and commercial payors.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting regarding provider enrollments in process
  • Communicate enrollment status to leadership and other internal departments for scheduling and billing purposes.
  • Pro-actively track and follow-up with payors in a timely manner to obtain effective dates with the plans.
  • Handle complex payors and markets including enrollment activities for ESP acquisitions.
  • Meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable regulations, policies and procedures and understand specific application requirement for each payer.
  • Represents the office to internal and external customers as appropriate.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Two years in healthcare provider enrollment.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable credentialing and licensing requirements for medical providers and ASC’s.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare and commercial payors provider enrollment and credentialing requirements.
  • Resourceful working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with a professional attitude.
  • Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function.
  • Self-Starter and ability to work independently.
  • Preferred experience with CredentialStream/Verity Credentialing Systems.
