Eye Surgery Associates is searching for a Diagnostic Technician to add to our practice. 

 

Eye Surgery Associates is one of the largest multi-specialty ophthalmology practices in South Florida serving the Broward County area for over 30 years. We are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, individually based, high quality, eye health care. Our doctors are board-certified, skilled ophthalmologists and optometrists that provide a range of services to help our patients attain the clearest vision possible.

Our services cover a range of eye problems, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, dry eye, and ocular injuries. We have the common goal of ascertaining the most appropriate care for any given patient, explaining the purpose of the treatment, and in initiating said therapy in a courteous and compassionate manner, irrespective of age, gender, nationality, and race or payment program.

Our Diagnostic Technicians are responsible for daily patient care, the ease and successful flow of the clinic and assisting physicians by assignments. They promptly asnd professionally assist the physicians in patient eye care.

Responsibilities

Communication and Patient Care:

  • Performs visual field tests
  • Performs OCT
  • Performs Cell Count
  • Perform B-scan
  • Perform Orbscan/Pentacam
  • Performs Fundus Photo
  • Experience in Fluorescein Angiography *This is a MUST*
  • Performs Iol Master, as well as Manuel A-scan preferred but not necessary

 

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical and ophthalmic terminology
  • Knowledge of Diagnostic Equipment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive team member
  • Strong organization with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
