Our Office Team Lead will assist the management team by helping to ensure that the entire office staff is focused on providing professional, caring patient services as prescribed by our businss model while performing as an active member of our Patient Services Representative Team. 

 

Responsibilities

• In conjunction with the practice administrator and clinical manager, assist in coordinating the work-flow and process of the office
• Be the point of contact in the office for both internal team inquires and patients as well as facility needs
• Assist in leading and working with the patient services representatives, technicians and optician in both process and hospitality
• Schedule the staff to the requirements of the patient flow and budget
• As business demands, assist patients in the optical department
• As business demands, greet patients and perform check in responsibilities
• As business demands, Call patients to reschedule appointments
• As business demands, Check out patients and schedule follow up appointments, secure insurance authorizations
• Verifying cash drawers at end of day for accuracy, reconcile all patient payments
• Order office supplies as needed
• Process invoices and scan into AP system when received
• Run deposits
• Ensure the patient lobby and clinical working area is neat and clean.

Qualifications

• Possess at least five years of experience in a medical office position, preferably in an ophthalmology setting
• Experience as a front desk and understanding authorization process
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a well-organized, team-player with great attention to detail
• Demonstrate superior computer skills, NextGen a plus
• Highly energetic with positive attitude
• Must be able and willing to work two Saturday’s in each month
• Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours
