    The RN Nursing Supervisor's primary duty is to ensure high quality patient care.  Additionally, he/she is responsible for evaluating the performance of staff nurses, providing feedback and mentoring, assisting with education programs, and contributing to staff professional development.


    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and guidance to the staff, and ensure that the staff is properly trained an motivated to provide high quality patient care.
    • Address any personnel issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment.
    • Individually supervises, directs and implements patient care both in the operating room.
    • Evaluating operating room patients and plans
    • Implementing and documenting nursing care
    • Assists physicians during operating procedures.
    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Responsible for the Infection Control Program


    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Current California State Licensure as a Registered Nurse
    • Knowledge of State/Accreditation surveys
    • Experience in Pre-Op/PACU and OR Circulating
    • BLS certification is required. 
    • ACLS and PALS certifications are desired.
