    Our Ophthalmic Technicians are responsible for daily patient care, the ease and successful flow of the clinic and assisting physicians by assignments.  They promptly and professionally assist the physicians in patient eye care.

    Responsibilities

    •  Follow testing protocols
    •  Ensure all testing equipment is archived/backed up daily/weekly
    • Assist physician with testing needs/requests
    • Maintain supplies
    • Check emails daily
    • Report physician request changes to onsite supervisor
    • Adhere to the weekly schedule prepared by the Clinic Manager
    • Be at work and on time
    • Report to lead Testing staff member when:
    • Testing equipment is malfunctioning, Runtime errors occur, perform “screen shots” report to on-site supervisor
    • Report to Angie any interpretation list or interoperation pick list changes.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Detail oriented, enjoy working with the public and possess exceptional customer service skills.  Must become CMSS
      certified.
    • Ophthalmology knowledge with related on-the-job experience is preferred 
    • Successful completion of JCAHPO Ophthalmic Certified Technician/Assistant or an Associate Degree preferred.
