    Practice seeks an full-time experienced Ophthalmic Scribe but willing to train, to assist the physician with EMR medical record documentation.

    As a Scribe you will provide accurate documentation and summarization of the ocular examination and recommendations, while maintaining patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.  This position requires travel to satellite offices.

    Responsibilities

    Personal assist physician by entering documentation in EMR. Assist in other areas as needed.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma.
    • Prefer at least one year experience.
    • Fluent in English, bilingual preferred.
    • Two years experience in a medical office preferred.
    • Excellent spelling ability, including medical terminology.
    • Ability to document and apply correct ICD-10 and CPT Codes.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrates respect for patients and staff.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, demonstrates respect for patients and staff.
    • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.
    • Legible handwriting and computer literacy, effectively able to navigate NG/MS.
