The Credentialing Project Coordinator performs project management oversight for  the credentialing department, works with Credentialing Specialists in support of initial credentialing and recredentialing, acts as a Subject Matter Expert in regards to the Credentialing System used and provides guidance to department on processes and activities.  If you are a seasoned Credentialing Coordinator, energetic, pay close attention to detail, and love working on a team, we want to speak with you!


  • Provide project management oversight for various projects and tasks within the Credentialing department.
  • Support Credentialing Specialists with day to day processes.

  • Performs credentialing and recredentialing activities for assigned providers and facilities.

  • Coordinates with department leadership in defining department processes and procedures.

  • Acts as the liaison with internal team members and credentialing system vendor.

  • Develop, update and maintain training materials, job aids and other documents for departmental use.

  • Create, update and distribute reports on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.

  • Work with and communicate with various internal departments to troubleshoot issues and update credentialing statuses.



The Credentialing Project Coordinator Qualifications:

  • High school dipolma required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least five (5) years of experience in healthcare credentialing, patient registration, provider setup, billing, and medical policies
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable credentialing and licensing requirements for physicians and ASC facilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare and commercial payors provider enrollment requirements
  • Proficient working knowledge of ECHO OneApp or other credentialing system and MS Office Suite of products, included but not limited to, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
