Delivery of Anesthesia Care to surgery center patients
Cooperates with physicians and co-workers in the provision of anesthesia
Reports directly to Medical Director and Surgery Center Administrator or designee, indirectly to Medical Director and Governing Body.
Communicates with surgeon, nursing staffs and Omni Eye specialist staff as needed.
CRNA privileges and responsibilities must be consistent with law and may, without limitation, include the following:
Preanesthetic Preparation and Evaluation of the Patient
Obtaining an appropriate health history.
Conducting an appropriate physical screening assessment.
Recommending or requesting pertinent diagnostic studies and evaluating the results.
Selecting, obtaining, ordering, and administering preanesthetic medications.
Documenting the preanesthetic evaluation and obtaining a comprehensive informed consent for anesthesia and related services.
Current, active RN and CRNA license from the State of Colorado Board of Nursing.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support mandatory (CPR, PALS, and ACLS).
American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
Current TB Testing
Annual Infection Control and Blood Borne Pathogen Training
