Katzen Eye Group is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician candidate for our Bel Air (Abingdon), Md. offices. Dependent upon the demands of business, you may be required to travel to our other practice locations. Our preferred candidate must bring at least 1 year of prior ophthalmic/optometric technician experience. However, we do have an extensive training program and will consider candidates with medical back office experience with good tenure.

The Ophthalmic Technician will perform a range of duties which include preparing the patient to see Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist and conduct preliminary exam and captures medical history. In addition, the preparation of examination and treatment rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures may be required. Travel to other locations may also be necessary to support clinical needs.

The compensation range for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 dependent upon your experience relative to the position.
