Katzen Eye Group is seeking an Optometric Technician for our Reisterstown office 4 days and ability to float to our other locations 1 day a week. This individual is responsible for assisting the Ophthalmologist and Optometrist in the exam lane and to input data into the Electronic Health Record as well as administering treatment as allowed and ordered by the physician. 

Eyecare Services Partners will now only consider candidates who can verify prior to hire that they either have been fully vaccinated against the Covid 19 virus or have started the vaccine process by having their initial dose before starting in their new position and are committed to completing that process within 30 days of starting work. Exemptions for medical and religious concerns will be considered.

• Initial work up of patients such as gathering chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, past family and social history and complete review of systems.
• Measuring visual acuities, intraocular pressures, keratometry, refraction and pachymetry.
• External examination and slit lamp.
• Scribe in electronic medical records format to document the patient visit and examination.
• Code for services

• Possess at least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
  
• Prefer experience as an ophthalmic scribe or technician, but not required.
  
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Be a well-organized, team-player with great attention to detail.
  
• Demonstrate superior computer skills.
  
• Highly energetic with positive attitude.
  
• Must be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of business.
  
• Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours.
  
• Must be able to type or write legibly in a dimly-lit setting.
