Our Top Candidate will bring at least one year of ophthalmic or optometric technician experience. However, we do have a significant training program and would be able to accept candidates with medical office background as a medical assistant, scribe or patient services representative.

The Ophthalmic Technician will perform a range of duties which include preparing the patient to see Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist and conduct preliminary exam and captures medical history. In addition, the preparation of examination and treatment rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures may be required. Travel to other locations may also be necessary to support clinical needs.
