National Retina Institute is searching for an enthusiastic, patient focused, full time Medical Front Desk Representative for our office in Owings Mills, Md. This position will require approximately 2 to 3 weeks of training that will take place in Owings Mills as well as our offices in Columbia and Olney. All candidates must be willing and able to make that commute. After training, the position will, on occasion, need to cover shifts due to time off etc in the Columbia and Olney practice offices. Our Top Candidates will have at least two years of experience working as a patient services representative or administrative medical assistant on a medical front desk in a very busy practice, preferably ophthalmology, optometry or other medical speciality.

The Patient Services Representative will perform routine clerical and administrative work including greeting and assisting patients, insurance verification, management of appointment schedule and accurate record-keeping. The PSR has a significant role as you serve as the initial point of contact and make the first impression on all patients visiting the office. This is especially important in a medical environment where people may be apprehensive. Effective execution of this role will require the ability to multitask and respond to the needs of the patients and other staff efficiently and calmly.

The compensation range for this position is from $18.00 to $21.00 dependent upon your experience relative to the position.
